In the wake of the terrorist attack on 9/11, St. Paul's Chapel became a place of rest and refuge for those who risked and sacrificed their lives at ground zero. Miraculously the chapel survived the attack without so much as a broken window. On my visit to the site, I was frozen in my tracks when I saw what else survived. Look at these 2 trees standing tall over the grounds behind St. Paul's. Their branches intertwine to become one, perfectly framing One World Trade Center in the background, where the twin towers once stood.
