Sometimes weather has a great sense of irony. In January 2014, even the mighty Weather Channel found ourselves stranded in the studios by the ice storms that crippled Atlanta. The nice thing about this for me was that the story came right to me, I could literally walk out the door and get the shots I needed! Plus, with the video games on the 8th floor and various beer stashes throughout the building, it turned into a fun sleepover with coworkers while we waited for the roads to thaw.
